Saudi trades in US equities rise to SAR 58.7B in Q4 2023

Saudi investors executed sell and buy transactions on US equities at a total value of SAR 58.7 billion through capital market institutions in Q4 2023, a year-on-year (YoY) rise of nearly SAR 8.39 billion, or 17%.

 

Trading by Saudis in the US stocks jumped by 38%, or SAR 16.1 billion, compared to SAR 42.6 billion in Q3 2023.

 

The CMA report on the trading value of local authorized brokers in the global markets does not include either details of the number of Saudi portfolios abroad, the number of investors trading directly through foreign brokers or their trading volumes.

The transactions in the US market accounted for nearly 97.3% of total trading by Saudis in foreign markets during the fourth quarter of 2023, which reached SAR 60.4 billion.
