The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) announced the localization of sales outlets in seven economic activities, as their validation period ended, according to a ministerial statement.

In cooperation with the supervisory authorities, the first phase of the localization of motor vehicle periodic inspection (MVPI) across all regions of the Kingdom was launched as of today, June 12.

The decision comes to provide a stimulating and productive work environment for Saudis, boost their participation in the labor market, and enhance their contribution to the economic system.

The 70% localization of outlets include security and safety equipment; elevators and escalators; artificial turf and swimming pool; water purification equipment and navigation devices; catering equipment and electric vehicles (EVs); airguns, hunting and camping supplies; and packaging equipment and tools.

The most prominent jobs localized in these activities were branch manager, supervisor, treasurer, customer accountant, and customer service.

The statement indicated that the localization of these professions provides more than 12,000 jobs for male and female citizens.

On the other hand, HRSD Ministry, the Ministry of Commerce and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) cooperated to localize the service outlets of MVPI in two phases of 50% each.

The most prominent jobs localized in this activity were site manager, assistant director, quality manager, financial supervisor, location manager, inspection technician, assistant inspection technician, maintenance technician, information technician, and data entry.

The localization of these activities provide more than 5,000 jobs for male and female citizens.

The ministry confirmed that it will provide a package of incentives to support private sector entities and help them employ Saudis.
