Saudi Arabia’s Wafi program, an electronic platform launched by the housing ministry, has licensed four real estate companies to market off-plan units in Dubai, Mohammed Alghazwani, Wafi’s secretary general, said in a statement.
Under these licenses, real estate developers will sign contracts and collect respective values due in Dubai, Alghazwani said, adding that firms can apply for licenses via the Wafi scheme.
The Wafi e-platform was set up in May by the Saudi housing ministry for granting sales and leasing licenses on the map, organizing relations between real estate developers and specialists in the sector, registering title deeds, filing complaints, and follow-up services.
