Saudi Arabia’s King Salman asserted that the Kingdom is able to deal with all implications of the “cowardly acts” referring to the recent attacks on Saudi Aramco facilities.

He added that these attacks not only target the Kingdom’s strategic infrastructure but also the global oil supplies, and threaten global economy, Saudi Press Agency reported.

King Salman’s remarks came as he chaired the cabinet’s meeting, during which energy minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman briefed the cabinet about the damages that have resulted from the attacks on Aramco facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais.

The cabinet said that the Kingdom will defend its land and its critical infrastructure, and is able to respond on these acts regardless of its origins.

It also called on the international community to take stricter actions to stop such attacks that threaten the region and the safety of oil supply and global economy, as well as to hold accountable those behind it.

The cabinet also said that these attacks are an extension of recurrent attacks that targeted critical infrastructure, and threatened the maritime navigation and the global econmy.

The cabinet added that the series of attacks includes targeting Aramco pumps ‘using Iranian weapon’ earlier this year.
