Expat remittances from Saudi Arabia rise to SAR 12.97 bln in November 2021

Remittances from expatriates in Saudi Arabia grew by 1% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 12.97 billion in November 2021, according to recent data released by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

Compared to October, remittances from expatriates in Saudi Arabia fell around 4%, or SAR 510 million.

Meanwhile, remittances sent by Saudi nationals to other countries surged 48% YoY to SAR 7.18 billion in November, reaching its highest level in four years, or since November 2017 level of SAR 7.95 billion.
