Fransi Capital expects growth for petrochemical sector

02/10/2015 Argaam Special

Saudi Fransi Capital said it expects a slight growth in the petrochemical sector's earnings for third quarter of 2014, compared to the previous quarter.

The financial advisor said that the performance of Petrochem and SIIG is expected to improve due to the increased production of Saudi Polymers Company.

YANSAB’s performance is also expected to improve, driven by improved prices of Ethylene Glycol in Asian market.

Third quarter earnings of Tasnee, Sahara, and SIPCHEM are expected to fall compared to the previous quarter due to shutdowns of major production units.

Fransi Capital added that petrochemical prices remained within the previous quarter’s ranges, with the exception of Ethylene and Ethylene Glycol prices which increased in the third quarter.
