Saudi Arabia Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih met with Governor of Zhejiang Province, Li Qiang, today Sept.5, and discussed fast-tracking joint energy and petrochemical projects in the province.

“The two parties have agreed to follow up and coordinate mutual visits, and will set up more joint investment projects between Saudi and Chinese private sectors,” Al-Falih said on his official Twitter account.

The meeting also discussed launching new maritime lines and boost trade, as the Kingdom is a partner in China’s Road and Belt Initiatives.

In October 2018, Saudi Aramco signed an agreement to acquire stake in Zhejiang Integrated Refining & Petrochemical Complex
