1) Saudi Vitrified Clay Pipes Co. (SVCP) said it will start a partial shutdown of some furnaces on Wednesday due to an inventory overhang as a result of the slowdown in sanitation projects within the Kingdom during 2017.

 

2) Al Hammadi Company for Development and Investment signed on Monday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore acquiring 100 percent of Medical Support Services Co., it said in a statement to Tadawul.

 

3) Mouwasat Medical Services Co. will continue to implement its strategic plans aimed to maintain revenue growth, Managing Director Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al-Saleem told Argaam on Monday.

 

4) Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. (Petro Rabigh) reported a net profit of SAR 782 million in the first nine months of 2017 compared to a net loss of SAR 146 million a year.

 

5) Najran Cement Co. posted a net loss of SAR 10 million for the first nine months of 2017 compared to a net profit of around SAR 111 million a year earlier due to lower sales prices and a decrease in sales.

 

6) Al Khaleej Training and Education Co. reported a net profit of SAR 37.9 million for the first nine months of 2017, a 54 percent year-on-year (YoY) rise due to an increase in sales and lower operating costs.

 

7) National Gas and Industrialization Co. (GASCO), a retailer of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), reported a 36.5 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit to SAR 141.5 million for the first nine months of 2017.

 

8) Buruj Cooperative Insurance Co. reported a net profit of SAR 79.78 million for the first nine months of 2017, an 85 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase on higher net underwriting surplus.

 

9) Al Ahsa Development Co. swung to a net profit of SAR 3.4 million for the first nine months of 2017, against a net loss of SAR 16.4 million in the same period last year, mainly attributed to lower zakat expenses, higher revenue and dividend along with a decline in losses from discontinued operations.
