Al Rajhi Bank appoints new CEO

Al Rajhi Bank has appointed Walid bin Abdullah Al-Moqbel as the new chief executive officer with effect from January 1, 2020, it said in a statement on Tadawul.

 

Al-Moqbel has a long experience in the banking sector, where he held leadership posts in Al Rajhi Bank and its affiliates, the most recent being the Deputy CEO.

 

He is a holder of a Master and PhD degrees in accounting and finance from the UK as well as he is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

 

The statement also noted that the contract for the current CEO, Stefano Bertamini, will expire on December 31, 2019.
