Saudi Public Transport Co. (SAPTCO) temporarily suspended inter-cities and in-city services for 14 days starting from March 21, 2020 in line with the precautionary measures to limit the coronavirus spread as directed by the Public Transport Authority.

These measures are expected to have a negative impact on the company’s business, however, it is difficult to assess the full financial impact, SAPTCO said in a bourse statement, adding that any further developments will be announced in due course.

Saudi Arabia has taken a number of precautionary measures including suspending all buses services starting from Saturday, March 21 evening except for buses used by government, healthcare facilities, private commercial facilities and any other buses used for health, humanitarian or security purposes, according to data compiled by Argaam.
