Fawaz Alhokair signs new franchise agreement, to open 4 Aleph stores

Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair Co. signed a franchise agreement with Fnac Darty to expand its retail portfolio into consumer electronics and multimedia categories, the company said in a statement to Tadawul today, April 26, 2021.

 

France-based Fnac Darty is an electronic and cultural retailer, with 908 international stores and 346 franchises.

 

The first Fnac store in Saudi Arabia is set to open doors in 2022, offering multi-brand consumer electronics, household appliances, stationery, books, cultural and lifestyle products, and value-added services.

 

Separately, the company continues to strengthen its electronics offering in the Kingdom, rolling out new Aleph Apple Premium Reseller stores with one new added in U-Walk Riyadh on April 18, 2021, and three others slated to open by May-end.

 

The total number of Aleph stores is expected to reach 20 stores over the next 18 months.

 

The company opened the first-ever Decathlon store in Jeddah on April 10. 2021. The first store, covering 3,358 square metres, will be followed by three more stores to be opened in Riyadh this year.
