Saudi Arabia announces first international flights to new Jeddah airport

The General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) announced the launch of first international destinations from King Abdulaziz International Airport Terminal 1 in Jeddah.

 

The flights will be bound to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Muscat, and will be operated by Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia), GACA said in a statement.

 

The first flight to Abu Dhabi and Bahrain will commence on Aug. 9 while to Muscat will begin on Aug. 10.

 

Earlier, Saudia transferred a total of 21 domestic flights to the new terminal.
