The value of Saudi Arabia's real estate deals surged 33% year-on-year (YoY) to nearly SAR 18.6 billion in November-December 2020 (Rabi Al-Thani 1442 Hijri year), Saudi Justice Ministry's data showed.
On the other hand, real estate deals jumped 3%, or SAR 600 million, month-on-month (MoM).
The number of real estate deals made in Rabi Al-Thani reached around 29,200, up from 24,500 during the same month of the last Hijri year.
The number of sold properties increased to 30,400.

The rise in real estate deals in Rabi Al-Thani is attributed to the increase in the number of commercial deals by 74% YoY to SAR 6.61 billion.
Similarly, the value of the residential deals appreciated 7% YoY to SAR 10.40 billion. The agricultural and industrial deals were valued at nearly SAR 1.6 billion.
Residential deals represented 55.9% of total real estate deals in Rabi Al-Thani. It was followed by the commercial deals (35.5%) and agricultural as well as industrial deals at 8.6%.

Riyadh saw the largest number of real estate deals worth SAR 7.3 billion, followed by Jeddah with SAR 2.6 billion worth of deals.
