Saudi Tourism halts ‘Saudi Winter’ season events for 10 days

The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) announced, in a statement on Feb. 4, 2021, suspending all tourism activities under the “Saudi Winter” season for ten days starting from Feb. 4.

 

The decision aims to ensure the health and safety of local tourists and residents, the authority added, noting that any updates of the winter initiative will be announced later on.

 

The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced on Feb. 4, 2021, suspending all events and parties, including weddings, corporate meetings and the like, in banquet halls and independent wedding halls or affiliated with hotels, as well as in rental rest houses and camps that are used for those purposes, for a period of 30 days, that may be extended.
