Brazil-based JBS, the world’s largest meat supplier, plans to establish a meat and poultry farm in Qassim with investments of over $2 billion, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper.

Chairman Wesley Batista said that Saudi Arabia is one of the largest consumers of meat and poultry in the Middle East.

JBS plans to build a factory in the farm, whose production will not only be limited to Saudi Arabia, but exported to neighboring markets, he added.

JBS operates in six continents and markets products to more than 100 countries. Its net income reached nearly $116 million in the third quarter of 2023.
