The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources plans to expand the customs exemption to encompass all industrial establishments with a valid license from the ministry, on imports of specified materials and products, effective from April 1, 2024.

The exemption covers raw materials, semi-finished materials, finished goods, packaging materials, machinery, equipment, and spare parts, the ministry said on X platform.

A service for requesting a customs tariff code for local products' industrial capacities will be launched on the industrial platform on March 14, it added. This service will allow owners of industrial establishments to request restrictions on specific customs items from the exemption and include them in the list of industrial capacities for local products, with supporting justifications.
