Makkah Bus
The Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites (RCMC) announced activating the operational plan during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The move aims to alleviate congestion in the central region and increase the capacity through adding more buses to some routes. It also seeks to reduce the waiting period, enhance the operational readiness and coordinate with security authorities to achieve safety standards.
The operational plan covers all main and internal roads and connects neighborhoods to the central region.
The bus project includes 438 stations and stops. The number of buses reaches 400, operating on 12 routes, with 900 drivers.
