The Cabinet

The Cabinet, chaired by King Salman, approved the amendment to Article 179 of the Executive Regulations of the Criminal Procedure Law, issued by the Cabinet on Jan. 12, 2015.

 

Accordingly, the competent authority shall submit the request to file a general criminal lawsuit regarding the incidents in which the minister, his deputy, or ex-minister, is accused of. Meanwhile, the private plaintiff shall file the private criminal lawsuit.

 

The facts not included in the scope of the King’s permission shall not be considered.

The arrest of the abovementioned persons shall be in separate places.
