Saudi Arabia’s population grows to 35.3M in 2024

Saudi Arabia's population increased to 35.3 million by the end of 2024, marking a 4.7% growth compared to 2023.

 

Saudi nationals reached 19.6 million in 2024, accounting for 55.6% of the total population, while non-Saudis amounted to around 15.7 million, or 44.4% of the total, according to a recent bulletin from the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).

 

The authority's estimates show an overall increase of around 1.6 million compared to 33.7 million in 2023.

 

Males made up 62.1% of the total population, or 21.92 million people, while females accounted for 37.9%, or 13.37 million.

 

In terms of age distribution, the 15–64 age group dominated 74.7% of the population (26.4 million people), while the 0–14 age group comprised 22.5% (7.94 million people). As for people aged 65 and above, they made up only 2.8%, or about 988,000.
