Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman today, Aug. 12, in NEOM, approved the extension of Paragraph (A) (1) in Royal Decree No. M/14 dated Oct. 31, 2018, for one year starting Oct. 24.

The clause requires labor lawsuits to be filed first with the Labor Office, which must attempt an amicable settlement before the case goes to the labor court, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The Cabinet previously extended the rule for three years in 2021 after its initial approval in 2018.
