The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD), in partnership with the Ministry of Health (MOH), launched today, Jan. 27, phase two of raising Saudization rates for dental professions in the private sector.
According to the ministry, phase two applies to all private sector establishments employing three or more workers in dental specialties, with a Saudization target of 55%.
As outlined in the procedural manual, to count a Saudi dentist in the Saudization rates, their monthly salary recorded with the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) must be at least SAR 9,000, and they must hold a valid professional accreditation from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
The decision is part of efforts to Saudize health professions, with the MOH overseeing implementation according to labor market needs, HRSD ministry explained, adding that the private sector establishments will benefit from support and incentive programs provided by the HRSD system.
These programs include assistance with recruitment, training, qualification, employment, and career continuity, as well as priority access to Saudization support programs and initiatives offered by the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF).
The ministry added that the decision is part of the ministries’ broader efforts to enhance the participation of national competencies in the labor market and provide stimulating and productive job opportunities for Saudi nationals across the Kingdom, supporting the labor market strategic goals and the Health Sector Transformation Program.
The procedural manual has been published on the HRSD ministry’s website to clarify the details of the decision and the required Saudization rates, urging all establishments to comply to avoid legal penalties.
