Saudi Arabia’s Human Resources Development Fund will reimburse companies in the kingdom that have been slapped with fines for employing more expats than Saudi nationals, Ibrahim Al-Moaiqel, the fund’s director told Al-Arabiya TV.
He said the fund will pay back SAR 2,400 per worker to companies that were fined for contracts signed before the new labor laws came into effect.
Each company must submit its application forms via the web, and compensations will be distributed within 90 days of registration.
Meanwhile, Al-Moaiqel advised private sector firms to push forward with nationalization efforts and hire more local talent as companies can stand to benefit from HADAF’s support.
