US-based technology firm Cisco Systems will help develop the digital infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, according to a report in Al Arabiya.
A memorandum of understanding was signed on Monday, following Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s meeting with the California-based networking company’s chairman John T. Chambers and his executive team.
Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030" reform program, launched in April, underlines need to improve high-speed broadband access in the kingdom.
The program goals also include exceeding broadband coverage by 90 percent in densely populated cities and 66 percent in other urban zones.
