Dubai-listed developer Damac Properties announced on Tuesday the launch of Akoya Imagine 2.0, a range of three-bedroom villas targeted towards millennials.
The project will be located with Damac’s Akoya Oxygen development, the developer said.
It will consist of about 450 units, and be delivered towards the end of 2017 or early 2018, Tim Fallon, Damac’s vice president – corporate communications told Argaam at the Cityscape conference in Dubai.
Prices for the villas start at AED 1 million, payable over three years.
At the show, Damac also revealed four other project launches, including the new four-bedroom Akoya Cuatro villas, the XV villas at Akoya by Damac, The Residences at Aykon City, and the Aykon Hotel and Hotel Apartments at Aykon City.
The Residences – located in Damac’s Aykon City project on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road – is a collection of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments.
Meanwhile, the Aykon Hotel and Hotel Apartments will be the first project under Damac’s Aykon Hotels & Resorts brand.
The value of the new projects was not disclosed.
Earlier today, Damac announced that it had awarded 285 construction and consultancy contracts worth AED 5.25 billion across the GCC and UK in the first eight months of 2016.
The contracts cover the public realm landscaping in Akoya by Damac, villas at both Akoya by Damac and Akoya Oxygen, as well as the infrastructure and golf course construction at Akoya Oxygen.
Companies that have bagged the contracts include China State Construction Engineering, Al Arif Contracting LLC, Ghantoot Gulf Contracting, KEO International Consultants, and LACASA Architects & Engineering Consultants, among others.
