Nas Holding Co., which operates budget carrier Flynas, can offer lower airfares than those of Saudi Airlines Co. (Saudia) if it obtains subsidized fuel, Al Riyadh newspaper reported, citing the company’s CEO Bander Al Mohanna.
Despite the increase in fuel prices at the kingdom’s smaller airports, compared to those of Riyadh and Jeddah, the airline will continue to add new local destinations, he added.
Al Mohanna said he anticipates that next year will see a decline in ticket prices and an increase in seating capacity, particularly given the existence of four airline operators in the kingdom.
