Egypt gets its 11th Al Othaim Markets branch

Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Co. has opened its 11th store in Egypt, located in Al Mokattam district in Cairo, the company said in a statement.

 

The Saudi-listed supermarket chain is seeking to open additional branches in the North African country during 2016, the company added.

 

Earlier this year, local media reports said Al-Othaim would launch four new outlets in Egypt as part of a strategy to invest SAR 144 million in the country’s growing foodstuff market.

 

Al Othaim has announced that it plans to open a total of 15 new branches this year in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
