Goldman Sachs Saudi Arabia has taken the lead as the top brokerage firm operating in the Kingdom for August 2019, data compiled by Argaam showed.
The brokerage accounted for 16.62 percent (SAR 26.17 billion) of total market transactions on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) last month.
JP Morgan Saudi Arabia Limited moved up to the second place, accounting for 13.83 percent (SAR 21.77 billion) of total trading last month, followed by Al Rajhi Capital (SAR 12.32 billion) and then HSBC Saudi Arabia (SAR 11.69 billion).
NCB Capital, Samba Capital and Saudi Fransi Capital were also included among the top ten brokerage firms operating in Saudi Arabia in August.
The combined trading value of brokerage firms increased by around SAR 27.1 billion month-on-month to SAR 157.4 billion in August.
On the Nomu Parallel Market, Al Rajhi Capital topped the list of brokerages operating in August, brokering up to SAR 14.5 million of total transactions on the parallel market.
Meanwhile, the number of brokerages working on exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in August stabilized at 14, compared to July 2019.
Falcom Financial Services was the leading firm for the month, accounting for 98.4 percent (SAR 269.65 million) of total trading compared to the previous month.
