Saudi Arabia 'world's sole state' to implement e-voting

Saudi Arabia is the world's sole state to implement the electronic voting, Okaz newspaper reported, citing Mohammed ElKuwaiz, Chairman of the Capital Market Authority (CMA). 

He added, on the sidelines of the first international conference on corporate governance at the Corporate Governance Center in Alfaisal University, that e-voting helped increasing attendance of corporate general meetings around five-fold. 

"The Kingdom has reached advanced levels in the implementation of corporate governance over the last three years in line with the Saudi Vision 2030," ElKuwaiz stated.
