What are Saudi Arabia’s top performing mutual funds in 2019?

A total of 99 out of 247 Saudi mutual funds with net assets of over SAR 100 million, showed mixed performance in 2019, based on the prices announced on Dec. 31, 2019. 

 

AlAhli Europe Index Fund, managed by NCB Capital, was the top performer last year, with a return of 31.60%.

 

FALCOM Saudi Equity Fund, managed by Falcom Financial Services, took the second place with a 29.46% return.

On the other hand, Samba Capital’s Al Razeen USD Liquidity Fund was the worst performer with a return of 1.79%. The fund is a specialized public investment fund –money market fund, which invests primarily in short term money market instruments and other investment funds with similar objectives.

 

International Trade Finance Fund (Sunbullah USD), which is also managed by Samba Capital, posted a return of 1.87%. The fund invests primarily in short term riyal or dollar-denominated money market instruments that are compliant with Shariah.
