The Federation of Saudi Chambers, represented by the Saudi-Iraqi Business Council, will host the Saudi-Iraqi Business Forum, from Jan. 24-26, 2022, under the patronage of the Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council, Majid Al-Qasabi.

The forum comes as a culmination of the strong interest from the Saudi government and the follow-up from the Crown Prince. It will be attended by more than 80 Iraqi businessmen who will join intensive activities that include the business forum and the meetings of the Saudi-Iraqi Business Council, in addition to a program prepared by the Saudi Exports Development Authority.

Mohamed bin Abdullah Alkhorayef, head of the Saudi side in the Saudi-Iraqi Business Council, commended the role played by the Iraqi government to encourage Saudi investments and exports, especially after the opening of the new port in Arar.

The Iraqi market is estimated at more than $60 billion, of which the share of Saudi direct exports does not exceed SAR 1 billion only, in addition to the volume of indirect exports through neighboring countries, Alkhorayef stated.
