The Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites (RCMC) named Saleh Al-Rasheed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

 

Al-Rasheed has been the Governor of Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) since February 2018.  Before that, he was the Chairman of Saudi Venture Capital Co., as well as a board member of Saudi Red Crescent Authority since February 2017 and Research, Development and Innovation Authority since February 2022.   

 

He was the CEO of Riyadh Airports Co. from 2017 to 2018, and Vice Chairman of the same company. He also worked as the General Manager of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (Modon) and Director of the Communications and Information Technology Department at the same authority. 

 

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the IMD in Switzerland and a Bachelor’s of Computer Science (BCS) and Information Technology (IT) from King Saud University.
