Saudi SWCC reveals portfolio of 21 water projects worth SAR 13.1 bln

Saudi Arabia’s Saline Water Conversion Corp. (SWCC) announced that it has 21 water projects worth SAR 13.11 billion, as part of the five-year capital portfolio of the environment, water and agriculture system, Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

The projects cover seven regions: Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah, Asir, Eastern Province, Al Baha and West Coast.

 

The projects aim to supply new areas with desalinated water services. In addition, SWCC seeks to complete some of the existing projects to meet the need and address the crisis of increasing demand that is driven by population growth in some areas.

 

The projects also aim to contribute to achieving water security, sustainability, as well as raising the reliability of production, transportation and storage systems by applying the best operational practices to achieve the optimal utilization of assets and enhance desalinated water production capacities.

 

SWCC also stated that the projects aim to raise the quality of provided services, improve their quality and maximize the use of resources and assets. They represent a motive for further achievements and an incentive to raise the level of services and business continuity, to support the Kingdom's conventional and non-conventional water sources.
