Health Ministry, private sector to implement 100 projects in next 5 years

The Ministry of Health will cooperate with the private sector in implementing more than 100 health services projects over the upcoming five-year period, with estimated capital investment opportunities of SAR 48 billion, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported citing Minister of Health Fahad Al-Jalajel.

 

The initiatives cover several public-private partnerships, including the establishment and operation of two medical cities, and, the establishment and operation of 900 beds to provide medical rehabilitation and long-term care services.

 

The initiatives also include restructuring and improving primary healthcare services starting with more than 200 centers, Al-Jalajel noted, adding that plans also aim to ensure air medical transport services nationwide, along with a partnership for radiology services.

 

The ministry carried out a comprehensive development of licensing procedures and related regulations to support commercial activities and facilitate investor journey in the health sector.

 

The ministry has also established a call center to provide services to the business sector.
