Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources seeks to occupy a leading position in the world in additive manufacturing (3D printing), through the production of the raw materials, the development of engineering design capabilities and the localization of the manufacturing services, Saudi Press Agency reported, citing Minister Bandar Alkhorayef.

 

During the LEAP Tech Conference, being held in Riyadh, Alkhorayef expressed optimism about the deployed technological and innovative techniques, adding that the event is a clear reflection of the Kingdom’s interest in the field, which strengthens its position as an international and regional destination for several industries.

 

Alkhorayef also added that the Fourth Industrial Revolution techniques doubled productivity, cut costs, decreased emissions, and additionally fulfilled sustainability and improved the quality of commodities as well as services.

 

The Saudi National Industry Strategy (NIS) will help achieve more economic diversification, add sources of revenue, and provide job opportunities, he noted.
