Loay Mashabi, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Transport
Saudi Arabia is characterized by a strategic location linking it to three major continents, and it has a unique infrastructure, said Loay Mashabi, Deputy Minister for Logistics Services at the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services.
During a panel discussion on the second day of the 10th edition of the Arab-China Business Conference, Mashabi added that the Kingdom has plenty of resources and features that motivate companies and investors to invest in the Saudi market.
He added the GCC railway is set to complete, and Iraq will join the network, which will greatly impact the Arab world's economy.
The Landbridge Project is ongoing to link all Saudi regions to a railway network, Mashabi said, noting that work is also underway with some Chinese companies to make electric and self-driving vehicles.
The Kingdom will continue to boost its partnerships and enhance cooperation framework to become a global logistics hub, Mashabi concluded.
