HRSD Ministry says 3-month midday work ban starts

The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) said that a midday work ban under the sun came into force on June 15.

 

The MHRSD had announced a ban on outdoor work under the hot mid-day sun between June 15 and Sept. 15 from 12 noon to 3 p.m.

 

Employers were directed by the ministry to organize working hours to provide a healthy and secure work environment for the workers.

 

The ministry decision aims to maintain the safety and health of workers in the private sector, also spare them from the health hazards in accordance with the safety and vocational health requirements.
