TGA launches phase 2 of initiative to localize shipping activities

The Transport General Authority (TGA) announced the launch of the second phase of the initiative to localize and enable shipping and logistics activities in the Kingdom, in cooperation with the Saudi Logistics Academy and a number of relevant authorities in the public and private sectors.

 

The authority indicated, in a statement that applicants and those targeted in this initiative will be trained through five qualifying programs that will be provided by the Saudi Logistics Academy, with specialists from the training cadres with high expertise and competencies, Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

The initiative aims to localize the offices of land freight brokers with the aim of supporting national competencies and enabling them to seize the opportunities available in various transport activities and services, especially those available in the offices of freight brokers.

 

Furthermore, it seeks to help companies by understanding their human resource needs to play the role of freight agents and develop their performance and capabilities, the statement added.
