Second masterplan for AlUla Central and South urban development launched

The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) launched the second masterplan for the urban transformation of AlUla Central and South. It aims to improve the quality of life, and drive economic growth and urban development as part of the sustainable comprehensive development framework of AlUla Vision.
 

In a statement, the RCU said the new masterplan, known as Path to Prosperity, focuses on urban development as well as the development of residential land plots, services and facilities, along with the public health goals and sustainable transport experience.
 

The second masterplan is a roadmap for the development of AlUla Central and South, complementing the comprehensive development phase announced in 2021.
 

The Path to Prosperity masterplan is focused on achieving economic development, and preserving the natural and cultural heritage of AlUla. It will will create a network of new, vibrant city centres, each with a convenient and expansive collection of amenities, services, green spaces, sports fields and parks.
