Saudi Arabia decided to localize private sector dentistry profession by 35%, starting from March 10, 2024, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The decision was issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) in partnership with the Ministry of Health.

The Health Ministry will oversee and implement the decision, in line with job market and the requirements of the dentistry profession.

The private sector establishments will also benefit from the incentives and support programs provided by the HRSD Ministry to help employ Saudis, the Health Ministry noted.

These include recruitment, training, and job continuity support, along with prioritizing localization programs through the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF).

The HRSD Ministry issued an informative guide detailing the localization requirements, professions, and the required percentages on its official website. It emphasized the importance of compliance by establishments and the strict adherence to these regulations to avoid any legal penalties.
