Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan signed several agreements related to implementing joint ventures (JVs) worth $12 billion in the fields of chemistry, energy, agriculture, medicine, information technology and infrastructure development. 

 

An agreement was also reached on implementing new projects and programs worth $11 billion in the infrastructure, transportation facilities, geology, irrigation, household waste treatment, higher education, and labor migration sectors, Uzbekistan News Agency reported.  

 

The agreements came during the visit of a Saudi delegation headed by Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih to Uzbekistan, which stressed on accelerating the major energy projects across various regions of Uzbekistan.
