The General Authority for Competition’s (GAC) board of directors decided to implement the necessary measures against six establishments operating in the education and industry sectors, according to a statement picked up by Argaam.
These establishments were directed to rectify their situations and comply with the Competition Law and its executive regulations. Additionally, they were mandated to commit to refraining from violating the provisions outlined in the Competition Law and its executive regulations when contracting.
Meanwhile, the GAC’s board reviewed the results of the study and investigation into two establishments operating in the cold and hot beverages as well as the pastries sector. The board approved the examination of settlement requests submitted by these entities, the authority said.
The board also agreed to initiate inquiries, conduct research, gather evidence, and investigate the potential violation of the Competition Law and its executive regulations by an establishment in the cloud kitchen sector and its affiliated parties.
Additionally, the board examined the ongoing procedures for a settlement with an establishment in the automotive sector. Subsequently, the board delegated GAC’s CEO to accept the settlement with this entity, address its situation, and publicly announce the resolution upon approval, in light of the authority’s transparency principles, the statement added.
