The signing ceremony
Saudia Group signed on April 23 a deal with Airbus to expand its fleet with 20 new widebody A330neo aircraft, including 10 confirmed aircraft allocated to the group’s budget carrier, flyadeal.
According to the company’s statement, the agreement was signed at Airbus’ manufacturing facility in Toulouse, France. The confirmed aircraft are scheduled for delivery starting in 2027, with the final aircraft arriving in 2029.
This deal follows a major agreement signed last year with Airbus to purchase 105 aircraft, as part of the group’s ambitious plans to expand its network to 250 destinations and serve 330 million passengers and 150 million tourists.
Currently, Saudia Group operates a fleet of 194 aircraft, supporting its commercial, low-cost, cargo, and logistics operations. An additional 191 new aircraft are expected to be delivered over the coming years.
