The company stated in a Tadawul disclosure that the new mill will boost flour production capacity by 750 tons per day, bringing the total output of the Al-Kharj plant to 1,350 tons per day. The new feed mill will have a production capacity of approximately 240 tons per day.
MC4 had received approval from the General Food Security Authority (GFSA) to undertake this ambitious expansion in its production capacity. The project will be financed through Shariah-compliant bank facilities and the company’s available operational cash flows, it noted.
The project is expected to commence in the second quarter of 2025, once all necessary regulatory approvals are obtained. The feed and flour mills are anticipated to be completed in H2 2026, and H2 2027, respectively.
Upon the start of commercial operations, positive financial impacts will appear from the feed mill in H2 2026 and the flour mill in H2 2027.
MC4 stated that trial production for the feed mill is expected to begin in H1 2026, and for the flour mill in H1 2027, highlighting that the trial production phase will last one month.
The company added that the contractor will be announced upon signing and that there are no related parties involved as of the disclosure date.
