Uber plans to launch self-driving cars in Saudi Arabia later this year, CEO Dara Khosrowshahi announced.

 

Speaking during a panel at the Saudi-US Investment Forum, Khosrowshahi said the move represents a major shift in the future of the Kingdom’s transportation sector.

 

He emphasized that autonomous driving technologies play a key role in enhancing road safety and significantly reducing operating costs—ultimately improving user experience and boosting service efficiency.
