The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) expects the Saudi economy to grow by 1.8% in 2025.

In its report released today, June 3, OECD also projected that the Saudi economic growth would accelerate to 2.5% in 2026.

Meanwhile, the organization revised down its global economic growth outlook, predicting a 2.9% expansion in both 2025 and 2026, compared to 3.3% in 2024. These estimates are lower than its previous forecasts of 3.1% for 2025 and 3.0% for 2026.

Global economic prospects are weakening due to significant trade barriers, tighter financial conditions, declining business and consumer confidence, and rising political uncertainty — all of which are expected to weigh on growth, OECD stated.
