Development banks should avoid unrealistic climate policies: Al-Jadaan

Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan said international development banks should avoid promoting unrealistic emissions-reduction policies that neglect vital energy investments.

 

Speaking at the OPEC Fund Development Forum today, June 17, he warned such approaches pose risks to global energy markets and place an unequal burden on developing countries.

 

Al-Jadaan stressed that development banks must support all energy sources without discrimination.
