Google logo, users worldwide reported services failures
Google has been hit by a major outage, leaving thousands of users unable to access their emails or use map services.
According to Downdetector, a platform specializing in tracking digital service outages, the reports began pouring in from the US, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, and other Eastern European countries, indicating that the outage was widespread and affecting essential services.
The outages were primarily concentrated in the search engine, which accounted for 52% of the registered complaints. Furthermore, issues with the website itself, like crashes or unresponsive pages, accounted for 34% of the reports. The percentage of login issues was lower at 14%.
One of the most affected services was YouTube, where users encountered error messages. Maps were unable to display data or calculate routes. The search engine also had difficulty completing searches, and some users reported problems with email.
