Jeddah Airports Company (JEDCO) inaugurated today, Sept. 17, the duty-free project at King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA), in collaboration with its strategic partner, GAH International Arab Duty Free (GAH). It is a joint venture comprising Germany’s Gebr. Heinemann, Saudi Arabia’s Astra Group, and Jordanian Duty-Free Shops.

Spanning about 8,000 square meters, the zone showcases more than 335 international brands across 35 outlets and boutiques, distributed between Terminal (1) and the North Terminal, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

JEDCO CEO Eng. Mazen Johar explained that the new duty-free project aims to provide exceptional shopping options and enhance the services available to passengers at the airport. This will contribute to increasing revenues, diversifying sources of income, creating new investment opportunities for local and international investors, and providing direct and indirect job opportunities.
