The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 179 new industrial licenses in July, while 133 new factories began production during the same month, data from the National Industrial and Mining Information Center (NIIC) showed.
Investments linked to these new licenses amounted to more than SAR 6.6 billion, with the related projects expected to create over 5,561 job opportunities across the Kingdom.
Investments in the factories that started production in July totaled SAR 2.3 billion with 4,652 new jobs created.
The existing factories in the Kingdom reached 12,500 in July, compared with 12,400 in June.
