The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) announced lifting suspension on lands located in west Riyadh, covering a total area of 33.24 square kilometers (km²).

The decision allows land and property owners to proceed with sales, purchases, planning, subdivision, and construction permitting, in accordance with the urban code applicable to the Wadi Hanifa area.

The move comes in line with directives from the Crown Prince aimed at achieving balance within the real estate sector to support comprehensive development.

The RCRC emphasized that the decision is part of a series of upcoming measures designed to present a distinguished urban model for Riyadh.

The commission noted that the urban code for the Wadi Hanifa area includes diverse patterns of urban development that create a livable environment addressing residents’ needs while preserving the area’s unique urban character.

The temporary suspensions in certain areas are part of an adaptive planning process, intended to enable optimal development decisions based on each area’s specific needs and current condition.
